Who We Are

More Than a Co-op — A Community

Summit Academy is a Christian homeschool academy and a ministry of True Life Church. We are a support system of parents, teachers, and ministry leaders passionate about helping children develop a biblical worldview — where faith and learning are never separated.

Homeschooling is the fastest-growing educational movement in the United States, and the results speak for themselves: research by Dr. Brian Ray at the National Home Education Research Institute shows homeschooled students score an average of 37 percentile points higher on standardized tests than their traditionally schooled peers.

Summit Academy adds the missing piece — community. Students attend one or two days a week for four hours of dynamic classes with peers, while parents remain the primary educators at home. Iron sharpens iron.

Summit Academy is a ministry of True Life Church, and while membership at True Life is not required, all families must share a personal Christian faith, agree to our Statement of Faith, and be active members of a local Christian church. Spiritual growth through local church community is a core expectation of our partnership.

We serve children in PreK through 8th grade, grouped into developmentally appropriate rotating classes (Group A, B, and C) throughout the co-op day.

Students attend one or two days per week (Tuesdays and/or Thursdays) for four hours of classes from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Tuition covers the full school year regardless of whether your family attends one or both days. On non-co-op days, parents continue instruction at home.

No. Summit Academy is a supplemental homeschool support program — not a private school. We do not assign or file grades, record medical records, or file attendance with the state. You remain the legal educator of your child. We are here to support and enrich your homeschool journey.

Parent participation is foundational to how Summit Academy works. All enrolled families volunteer a minimum of 12 hours per school year in a role that fits their gifts — from classroom aide to set-up crew to leading a parent small group. We'll help match you to the right role.

Summit Academy operates from a biblical worldview rooted in core Christian doctrine — including the Trinity, the deity and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the authority of Scripture, and the work of the Holy Spirit. All families sign our Statement of Faith as part of enrollment. Full details at truelife.church/beliefs.

Yes. We believe financial need should not prevent a family who is a good fit from joining Summit Academy. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available. Please contact Tara confidentially to discuss your situation.

The best first step is attending one of our Information Nights! You'll meet the team, hear our story, and get all your questions answered in person. From there, you'll complete a New Family Application and we'll schedule a brief family interview — it's a two-way conversation to make sure it's a great fit on both sides.
